Summer of Fun

So here it is, my first post on The Jolly! And what better things to write about than future plans and grand adventures.

I often have friends telling me that living in Brisbane can be boring and that there is nothing to do. Being the optimist that I am, I find this hard to believe. Having travelled around the world and lived in London for 3.5 years, I have seen some of the world's greatest landmarks, experienced things I only dreamed of and visited some of the most beautiful places on the planet. But for me, Brisbane is home! Home to the best beaches in the world, the best climate and of course friendly people. So what is there to do on a weekend? How about a sunrise hike up Mt Warning, a canoe down the Noosa River with an overnight camp at Harry's Hut, pack the surfboard up in the car and head to the beach, a scenic drive to Mt Tambourine or a weekend sampling wines in the Granite Belt. And that's just to name a few. So if you are at a loss for something to do on the weekend, check in here, hopefully you'll find what you're looking for... and have a jolly good time!
