Ok, so I did mention earlier that Brisbane has the best climate, but this week Brisbane, what's happened!? I call this typical Ekka weather, and sadly I have a sore throat and sniffly nose to go with it. So what to do on days like these?
Days like these remind me of living in London, where the best place to be was a warm English pub, sipping a pint of warm English beer. So what about heading down to Mt Tamborine. There's a really cool brewery there called
MT Brewery (at 165-185 Long Road, Eagle Heights) which now brews up to 9 award winning boutique beers. You can even get a tasting tray of beers. Add to this the Witches Falls Cheese shop on the same site and live music, and you've got a great place to spend a few hours with family & friends.
The scenery is spectacular too and if the weather clears, there's lots of walking trails - check out
this site for all the walking trails and maps. Or check out the
Mt Tamborine Skywalk (at 333 Geissman Drive, North Tamborine, QLD).
